The Need for a Bipartisan Investigation
The investigation of Jan. 6th is fatally flawed. A committee totally selected by one party is simply not equipped to determine facts and weigh evidence when that evidence includes actions by a full spectrum of individuals. If the Republicans win a majority in either chamber in the upcoming election, therefore, they need to choose Republican committee members and permit Democrats to likewise select a reasonable number from the minority party in order to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation. There are important questions that still need to be answered.
