Sure, there was the Babe, Hank Aaron, Derek Jeter, Nolan Ryan, and Roger Clemens, to name just a few of the baseball greats, but when it comes down to it, when Japan’s Shohei Ohtani’s baseball career is over, will he be named the greatest of all time (the GOAT) in Major League Baseball?

One of the best big-windup pitchers in modern times, Curt Schilling missed his chance to get in the Baseball Hall of Fame, and it’s no doubt, all because he spoke his mind. Whether it was his tweet insulting Islam, or his stated opinion that public bathrooms should be reserved for people according to their birth gender, Schilling wasn’t shy of stating his conservative Christian views (his own description of them), including his public support of Trump in 2016 and his support of Bush in 2000.
Edinburg College opened its doors for students in 1927—it was also the same year that the school started competing in sports. According to an old-timer, the name of the mascot, “Broncs,” was chosen by one of the coaches who came from Southern Methodist University, known as the Mustangs. So, Broncs was an obvious choice.
I’m a longtime Green Bay fan, so I can relate to fans of the teams, like the UT Longhorns varsity football program, who usually come up short, leaving you with a heartburn. Since I no longer follow football, though, or few sports at all to be honest, save professional billiards, Formula 1, and bull riding, who wins or loses a football game no longer bothers me.
