The City of Edinburg extends an invitation to the community to participate in the annual Veterans Day Parade, set for Saturday. It will begin at 10 a.m. at 1906 S. Closner Blvd, a street affectionately known as the Boulevard of Heroes.
This week Cinderella Pet Rescue is featuring Mozart and Sherbet, a couple of beautiful male tabby cats, with stripes galore! If you’re partial to tigers but can’t afford the upkeep, these boys could put a tiger to shame with all their stripes! They have been at our shelter for a while and it’s time that they found loving homes of their own. Either one would make a wonderful companion, much better than a real tiger.
HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
