Edinburg Music Festival to feature local bands and more

Special to the Advance EDINBURG — The Museum of South Texas History and Texas Folklife are excited to partner with the City of Edinburg to present the annual Edinburg Music Festival on April 15th, 2023. This year’s festival will take place at the Edinburg Promenade Park Amphitheater located at 201 W. McIntyre and promises to be a fantastic day filled with music, dance, food, and fun for the whole family.

Keep McAllen Beautiful slated to host annual clean-up event

Special to the Advance McALLEN — It’s that time of the year: spring has sprung and McAllen residents are spring-cleaning the city. Keep McAllen Beautiful (KMB) is once again hosting their annual Great American Clean-Up & Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off to take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, kicking off at McAllen Municipal Park, 1921 N Bicentennial Blvd. Residents are invited to get cleaning shoes on and join KMB to traverse the city’s major streets, hike and bike trails, city parks and schools, all to help keep McAllen clean and looking beautiful.

McAllen’s Sunset Live concert series makes return

Special to the Advance McALLEN — Sunset Live Outdoor Music Festival returns Saturday at the McAllen Convention Center-Oval Park. This will be the 9th year for Sunset Live, making it the leader in outdoor live music in the Rio Grande Valley. The series was created to provide a platform for local and international artists to be discovered. The family friendly event features a picnic in the park atmosphere with live music to set the tone, food trucks to grab a bite as you enjoy the entertainment, as well as an artisan marketplace to shop with local artisans and explore their unique creations.
