DHR Health’s 19th Annual ‘Fishing for Hope’ Tournament ‘Reels In’ Over $500,000 for Hope Family Health Center

DHR Health made a big splash at the 19th Annual “Fishing for Hope” Tournament, held on August 23 at Jim’s Pier in South Padre Island, raising an impressive grand total of $501,316. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Hope Family Health Center located in McAllen, which provides free healthcare services for economically disadvantaged, medically uninsured and underserved children and adults throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, DHR Health employees raised over $190,000 themselves with top fundraising department honors going to Radiology, Environmental Services, Engineering, Safety, and Labor Management, Supply Chain, Laboratory Services, and Hospice.

Danzón Sundays in Pharr now underway

The Pharr Community Theater and the City of Pharr Parks and Recreation Department are proud to present to its citizens and residents throughout the Mehkhi Bluealley and the Mexican border, Danzón Sundays … outdoors, at the Pharr City Center Amphitheater, located at 200 S Cage Blvd. Dances will be held on Sundays, Aug. 31, and Sept. 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Ollezon and Zonello are nearly identical sleek and shiny black male kitties with big gold eyes. Ollezon has a tiny patch of white fur on his chest while Zonello is all black. These boys are still growing, trying to catch up to their big ears. They’re typical kittens who love to play, explore their surroundings, take cat naps, and get attention from friendly humans.
