PSJA Education Foundation awards over $38K in teacher mini grants

The PSJA Education Foundation surprised dozens of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD educators during its annual Mini Grant Prize Patrol, awarding $38,675 in Teacher Mini-Grants to support innovative classroom projects across the district. Held December 15–16, 2025, the initiative recognized 40 PSJA educators for ideas designed to enhance student learning and expand opportunities for all.

Pharr awarded $4.8M to expand broadband workforce, to launch Pharr Connect U

The City of Pharr recently announced it has been awarded $4,367,136 through the Building the Texas Broadband Workforce Grant Program, a highly competitive, statewide initiative designed to grow the skilled workforce needed to connect Texas communities to high-speed internet. With a $500,000 local match, the total project investment reaches $4,867,136, positioning Pharr and the Rio Grande Valley as leaders in broadband workforce development.
