EDINBURG, Texas — The Museum of South Texas History will host the Sunday Speaker Series Online presentation, “The Mexica (Aztecs): A Brief, But Startling, Glimpse of The Future,” featuring Gilberto Reyes Jr. at 2 p.m. on Aug. 29 on Facebook Live.
Hissy and Possum are sister and brother tabby cats, four months old, and oh-soready for forever homes. In addition to their good looks, they are very playful, friendly and affectionate. They are full of energy and would love to have someone who would keep them amused with toys and lots of attention. They were raised around kids and dogs and would welcome a home with either or both.

Ila Fox Loetscher was known on South Padre Island as the “Turtle Lady.” Her efforts in relieving the plight of the Ridley Turtle heightened public attention at a time when the sea creature was in desperate need of a friend before it passed into extinction.
