HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
As the holiday season is underway, the City of McAllen Public Works Department reminds residents and businesses that trash and recycling pickups will continue as scheduled. Much like Santa, the Public Works team is working hard behind the scenes to ensure a wonderful holiday season.
Everyone deserves a gift this Christmas — especially the little ones. Right?

This week’s featured pets are Blake, a two year old female tabby cat, and Dimitri, a three year old male Plott Hound Cross. They’re different in just about every way, except for a couple of commonalities–either would make a great pet, AND they want to find their forever homes before Christmas.
