In honor of Principals Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, one brave Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) principal and cancer survivor shared her inspirational story in the hopes of inspiring others to continue fighting.
Hundreds of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District high school students and their parents attended the 24th annual PSJA College Night event held at PSJA North Early College High School on Oct. 17.
Making district history, the PSJA Early College High School (PSJA ECHS) Mighty Bear Band competed at the UIL 6A Area Marching Contest in Laredo, Texas on Oct. 21, 2023, and was named the UIL Area Champions.
On behalf of the Pharr Rotary Club, the organization would like to congratulate the following students for being chosen as the Rotary Students of the Month for October.
Based on a majority vote, 5-2, Monday night during a regular school board meeting, McAllen ISD will have one of its own soon serving as the district’s new superintendent after the mandatory 21-day waiting period is over, per the Texas Education Code.
