Special to the Advance PHARR — The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) School Board of Trustees named Dr. Alejandro Elias as the Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools during a Called Board Meeting held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the PSJA Early College HS Lecture Hall.
Based on the contents of an investigation by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the La Joya ISD school board will be replaced with a state-appointed board of managers if the state agency has its way.
The Region One Education Service Center will host its Annual Educator Job Fair for those interested in seeking a teaching or an administrative position in a Region One school district or charter school.
