Estate experience: A sordid nightmare

This case would no doubt serve as a nightmare for any sane person living through it, if you listen to the guy telling it, J.D., as he will be named for this story, who has lived in Hidalgo County for more than 50 years and swears it’s all true. His experience in the Hidalgo County Probate Court, was enough to drive any man or woman crazy, he says, and he doesn’t have a problem telling it.

County courthouse needs new set of eyes

Where exactly on last week’s Hidalgo Commissioners Court agenda the item was listed is hard to see with just a quick glance. It’s there, though, according to reliable sources, and some wording on the minutes that could or could not be about the new courthouse still under construction and the pending litigation now tied to it while the place sits idle. The Commissioners Court has apparently now approved the first steps needed to hire a third-party consultant to evaluate the project.
