McAllen’s Fire Union approves Collective Bargaining Agreement

McAllen’s fire union, McAllen Firefighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2602, recently approved a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the local union and management of the City of McAllen. The CBA was put to the members for a vote of approval and it recently passed by an overwhelming majority.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced that he secured $12,384,078 in funding for four key infrastructure projects in his district in South Texas as part of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure surface transportation reauthorization legislation. Texas students’ standardized test scores dropped dramatically during the pandemic, especially in math

The COVID-19 pandemic appeared to undo years of improvement for Texas students meeting grade requirements in reading and math, with students who did most of their schooling remotely suffering “significant declines” compared to those who attended in person, according to standardized test results released Monday by the Texas Education Agency.
