Chasing After the Wind (Part I of III)

Our founding fathers thought it was important enough to declare that it is a right to have the pursuit of happiness. If lasting happiness could be found in having material things and in being able to indulge ourselves in (almost) whatever we wanted, then most Americans in abundant America should be surrounded by unending happiness. Instead, Americans are sur rounded by high rates of divorce, suicide, depression, child abuse, and other personal and social problems. Happiness is never found by having all we want and being able to get even more. Ingrid Bergman, one of the great actresses of the twentieth century, used to say that happiness is good health and a bad memory.

2021 McAllen Marathon to be Held Virtually

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and in consultation with City of McAllen officials, the 2021 McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Memorial Run will be held as a virtual race experience. The Virtual McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Memorial Run will be supported by a series of virtual events held throughout January 15-17, 2021, the third weekend of January, which has become the traditional McAllen Marathon date.
