Looking to fill the city’s vacant District 1 seat, now that its incumbent has decided to run for mayor, longtime McAllen businessman and Public Utilities Trustee Tony Aguirre says part of the city’s success, historically speaking, is the fact that the City of Palms has been progressive, never satisfied with the status quo. Aguirre formally announced his candidacy last month.

McAllen native Michael Fallek has announced his bid for McAllen mayor

Despite pandemic, McAllen made $210,000 on holiday parade
