Pharr sales tax sees increase, unemployment continues to improve

The Pharr Economic Development Corporation is thrilled to announce that per the latest Sales Tax Report issued by the Texas Comptroller, the City of Pharr has seen a 21.55% increase in sales tax collections (compared to a 5.68% increase during the same period last year) and currently ranks second among all cities in the Rio Grande Valley.

Are facemasks the new diaper?

Thankfully, I haven’t stepped on any dirty diapers in awhile -- on sidewalks, in parking lots. Now that I think about it, it’s probably because we moved out of that Twin Palms strip center near the expressway and bought the old Pharr City Hall building on W. Park eight years ago.
