McAllen resident Randy Francis Davis, who turns 61 this August, hasn’t had it so easy since his divorce in the spring of 2019. Impossible question to answer for those who don’t know him very well: Did the divorce somehow facilitate his downward spiral, or did his bad habits lead to his divorce?

I have two friends going through cancer treatments, which is tough to watch even though I know both will fully recover. It’s the journey from here to there that’s the hard part. One guy I’ve known for about 25 years; the other dates back 55 years.

I’m sick of this national sovereignty stuff with us vs. Mexico. I say, just open up the entire border and completely eliminate it, and let the two countries merge into one. Call it Mexamerica or something even catchier maybe — Amerimex?
