Pharr Police Chief and City Manager (dual roles) Andy Harvey resigned from both appointed posts within the span of one week — Sept. 6 and Sept. 12 — and now a lot of people want to know why.

The irony of ironies. For years, marijuana has been illegal in this country.

According to a recent Bloomberg.com story, more than 20 million people in the U.S. are currently behind paying their electric/ utility bill. Because of the poverty rate in the RGV, I’m guessing the percentage of past-due accounts outnumbers most other areas of the country.
