Not all Valley school districts are having sex problems, but more than a few are, which are then spread like wildfire: “Hey, did you hear (so-and-so) is cheating around with (so-and-so)? No wonder he/she got a promotion.”
When Donald Trump first became president, Kevin McCarthy called him a puppet of Vladimir Putin. Much later when the supposed insurrection took place, McCarthy stated that Trump had caused it. It’s not surprising, therefore, that a number of congressional conservatives did not trust Kevin McCarthy and opposed his election as Speaker of the House. Those conservatives were also highly irritated by rules that had existed under the Democrat leadership. They demanded changes be made, and they were less than thrilled by some of the rules McCarthy was promoting. Members of the House Freedom Caucus, therefore, sought membership on the Rules Committee so that they would have a hand in drafting rules. In an attempt to get their votes, McCarthy promised that three of them would sit on the Rules Committee. He then spoiled matters, however, when he later charged that caucus members were opposing him in an effort to get special favors for themselves.
Let’s start the year with some good news: at some point, we’re all going to die.
