Keep McAllen Beautiful (KMB) is looking for elderly McAllen residents who need help in removing their dead landscaping affected by the freeze and anyone who would like to volunteer to help in this effort.
The McAllen City Commission proclaimed the month of March as Women’s History Month and March 8 as International Women’s Day in McAllen, in celebration of the of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. City leaders are proud to point out that the City of McAllen is unique amongst Rio Grande Valley and border municipalities, with an equal number of men and women who are directors of City of McAllen departments.
Blessed with something no mere mortal human can make a claim to, brother and sister Jasper and Smokie regard the world with great big golden eyes. They are striking cats anyway, Jasper with his lovely marmalade tabby coat, and Smokie with her dilute tabby-tortie markings, but their gold eyes make them really special.
