Just in Time for the Fourth of July!

It’s hard to believe that the Fourth of July is almost here. Celebrations will probably be somewhat different this year so Cinderella would like to suggest doing something completely different--adopt a dog (or two)! Instead of spending lots of money on fireworks that will just go up in smoke, why not make a lifetime investment in a dog who really needs a loving home? Long after the Fourth has passed, a dog will still be there with you, a great companion AND an unique, living commemoration of the holiday.

Peaceful Matamoros

I picked up the five passengers at the Matamoros airport on one of those delightful days meant for flying: scattered puffy white cumulus clouds hovering above the ground at about 3,000 feet, light breeze out of the southeast, visibility about 20 miles. My passengers had called my boss, the fixed-base operator (FBO) in Brownsville, the previous day to book the flight. Either they didn’t trust the charter operator flying out of Matamoros, or they liked our plane better. Maybe the Mexican charter planes were all booked up, who knows.

RGV Leaders Come Together for 2020 Census PSAs

MCALLEN — The City of McAllen recently partnered with the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council (LRGVDC) to film two public service announcements, one in English and one in Spanish, with mayors, municipal leaders, independent school district officials, county judges and even community leaders from throughout the entire Rio Grande Valley to encourage everyone in the region to participate in the 2020 Census.
