HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
PHARR — As of Wednesday, the City of Pharr is linking up with the Salvation Army to host a free drive-thru food distribution to those affected by the recent flooding.

Monday marked a historic announcement for South Texas: the highly acclaimed Border Texan of the Year event returns and will serve as the official opening gala of MXLAN, celebrating the region’s rich culture and outstanding community leadership. The gala will take place on May 8, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center.
