Pharr Housing Authority, PSJA ISD award over $65,000 in scholarships

Special to the Advance PHARR — The Pharr Housing Authority in partnership with Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) awarded 30 recent PSJA ISD graduates over $65,000 in scholarships for their post-secondary education. The fifth Annual Awards Ceremony, which took place at PSJA Southwest Early College High School on June 27, is part of an initiative by the non-profit organization Project READ.

Hidalgo County Precinct 4, UT Health RGV host ceremony for annex building

Hidalgo County Precinct 4 and UT Health RGV hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning to officially open the UT Health RGV AHEC Primary Care Annex Building. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the clinic location at 230 86th Street in Edinburg, Texas.

When I was 17, going on 18, my favorite rocker was Jim Morrison who was the best Front Man of any rock-and-roll band as far as I was concerned. I still consider him to be the best, with that voice of his and the lyrics he wrote.
