Special to the Advance McALLEN — The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) invites viewers to delve into the intricate workings of Jesus Treviño’s memories and the profound impact of historical erasure. La Carrera Fading in the Sun is on exhibit now through August 19 at the IMAS. Community members may also meet the artist Saturday, July 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the museum located at 1900 West Nolana Avenue to learn more about his art and process.
This week Cinderella Pet Rescue is featuring a couple of sweet female dogs, Halo and Maggie. Both are affectionate and friendly to people and other dogs. They’re both eager to please and would love to be your companion, whether it’s cuddling at home, going for a long walk, or maybe for a car ride.
HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
