PHARR – The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley recently received a $25,000 donation from The Tijerina Legal Group in support of the Food Bank RGV’s operations and response to the Covid-19 pandemic. WESLACO – At a meeting of the Texas Water Development Board held Thursday, Hidalgo County Precinct 1 Commissioner David L. Fuentes was designated to serve on the initial regional flood planning group for Region 15, which includes Hidalgo County. Fuentes was nominated for the designation by the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 Board of Directors on June 23, 2020, and becomes one of twelve voting members, each representing one of twelve interest categories that will guide the direction of the regional flood planning process.
