Due to the overwhelming success of the South Pole Illuminated Drive & Theatre Experience, presented by Junior’s Supermarket, McAllen streets have been experiencing traffic interruptions and guests waiting to enjoy this amazing holiday experience have experienced longer than expected delay. To mitigate this issue, event organizers worked diligently with the City of McAllen Police, Engineering, and Traffic Operations Departments to develop a traffic control plan to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event without further traffic delays.

How many Snowbirds will spread Covid-19 once they arrive?

I stumbled across this story the other day from several sources about a Snowbird down here whose husband is Covid-positive. Not sure if he spent time in the hospital or not, but per law, he must now quarantine at home for 14 days. His wife has chosen not to get tested, but as is the case, using simple logic, then she should quarantine as well, assuming she has it. This Snowbird, however, refused to go into quarantine. Not only that, but she doesn’t wear a mask around the park.

Hidalgo County will receive 11,700 COVID-19 vaccine doses

Texas state health officials have notified Hidalgo County that five local hospitals will receive 11,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as part of its initial allotment once federal officials approve a vaccine. The earliest the Food and Drug Administration can give such approval is December 10 during a scheduled meeting to review vaccine applications.
