PHARR — The City of Pharr and the Pharr EDC are proud to announce that $100,000 has been distributed to local businesses as part of the Pharr CARES Loan/Grant Program. The loan/grant provides financial relief in the form of working capital - forgivable loans/grants between $2,500 and $5,000 to local businesses.

Hurricane Hanna wreaked havoc on the fences and roofs at both our centers. Thanks to the community who stepped up to foster, all animals remaining at the PVAS centers were inside during the storm.

AUSTIN — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is asking for the public’s help in finding 10 people involved in crimes during protests that led to rioting at the Texas State Capitol on May 30, 2020. The 10 unidentified individuals (pictured above) are wanted on misdemeanor and/or felony charges, including riot, criminal mischief (vandalism), assault on a public servant, attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer and interfering with public duties.
