‘My generation sucks’

You stop by the fast food place, go through the drive-thru lane, and you’re so hungry, you can’t wait to get home. After you walk through the front door, famished, you rip open the food bag only to discover that, of course, the moron(s) inside the place couldn’t get your order right. It’s not even close. A simple order, no less. Does “chicken” even sound like “hamburger?” In today’s world, getting things wrong is par for the course. Add to that, the “unsweetened ice tea” you asked for is instead, “sweet.”

Fighting Back

When Hitler attacked Russia he made the mistake of not dressing his men for the winter and not providing adequate supplies. He also over-extended his supply lines. Eighty years later it appears to be Russia’s turn to make those same mistakes.

Wildfire risk remains high in much of state

Much of the state remains at considerable risk for wildfires through this week, largely because of higher-than-usual temperatures and drought conditions. More than 40% of the state is suffering extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Nearly the entire state is in some form of drought, with much of the Panhandle, High Plains and west central Texas most at risk.
