The battle continues

Primary election season has now officially begun, and it shows. Last Saturday in Conroe, Texas, former president Donald Trump held the largest rally in the history of Texas. The line of cars heading for the grounds was miles long and began forming many hours before the event. The Right Side Broadcasting Net work offered half a day of coverage and had at least 150,000 viewers. A gaggle of major national networks was also there, although 90 percent of them finished broadcasting before The Donald had completed his remarks. Presumably they were intent on getting their coverage to stations in time for the 10 o’clock news (although Right Side interpreted their actions as showing bias or a lack of interest).

Defending Europe

Joe Biden gave a remarkable press conference last week that proved he was capable of standing up for two hours. Lamentably it proved nothing beyond that. One wonders what his plan is for countering an invasion of Ukraine by Russia. After listening to his talk, Ukraine, indeed, has to wonder if he has one. Fortunately, the Administration did attempt later to counter his comments about the possibility of some mistaken minor incursion into the country by Russia’s 100,000-man army.
