Winners write the history

On January 6th, we heard history slanted to the left. ABC News declared as news (not opinion) that Donald Trump responded to the anniversary of the Capitol Hill incident with old “lies.” The reporter never explained what (in the hundreds of pages of reported election fraud and state hearings concerning those allegations) was untrue. ABC News thus ignored real news and resorted to propaganda.

SNAP benefits extended

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is again extending emergency food benefits this month, with more than $307 million in emergency allocations expected to help more than 1.5 million Texas households.

A New Year and opportunity for Mental Health improvement

As we begin a new year, many of us are certainly making resolutions involving our health — eat better, exercise more, get more sleep, to name just a few. But often left off this list is to improve our mental health. Our brains make everything else we do possible and should be prioritized just like the rest of the body. This is especially true for our children whose brains are still rapidly developing and who are learning healthy habits that will be with them for the rest of their lives.

Biden attacks history

It's been two centuries since Benedict Arnold became the most villified traitor in American history by preparing to turn over West Point to the invading British. As a consequence he was fired from his position in charge of West Point, fled for his life, and ended up living in Britain where he was just about as much disrespected by the British as he was by the Americans. He was a bitter little man who thought he deserved some promotions he didn't get and therefore turned against his country.
