The People vs. Biden

The People vs. Biden

According to a recent poll, if the presidential election were held today, 37 percent of voters would vote for Joe Biden. Some 42 percent would vote for Trump, and the rest would vote for an assortment of candidates not previously on the ballot. Support for Biden by Democrats has even slipped by five percent (although it still stands at 85 percent). Support for Biden by independents has virtually gone into the tank. Republicans, of course, can't stand the man. Biden's overall approval numbers have also dipped to the low point in his presidency and stand at 41 percent and falling. These figures do not include public reaction to the most recent deaths in Afghanistan.

Biden's Bay of Pigs

Biden's Bay of Pigs

The Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba was lost because freedom-loving Cubans were sent into battle with the promise of air support, which our country decided at the last minute not to provide. The result was catastrophic. As a result, decades later we are still trying to pick up the pieces in dealing with Cuba (which we lost as a result of military incompetence). United States air power is the single most important element in our international policy. We just lost another country (Afghanistan) because of withholding such power.

Can we drop ship Bush, Cheney to Afghanistan and leave them?

Can we drop ship Bush, Cheney to Afghanistan and leave them?

Some things never change. Sad to say. Twenty years ago, I was butting heads with the same people I’m butting heads with now. Twenty years ago, they were in favor of invading Afghanistan (2001) and then Iraq (2003). Stupid. Now, they’re opposed to the COVID vaccines, facemasks, and the right of public school districts to mandate masks this upcoming school term. More stupid. Only difference is, they’re 20 years older, and now they have kids who parrot their idiocy. The demented gene pool lives on while poor people in Afghanistan are dying, much like the Vietnamese did when we abandoned them in 1973.
