Quinta Mazatlán and the Valley Land Fund are hosting a youth photo contest to raise interest in wildlife and to encourage children ages 5 to 18 to take notice of the beauty of nature in the Rio Grande Valley. The contest is free to enter and every child that enters will be awarded with one winning image, a t-shirt and a fun evening at the Awards Ceremony at Quinta Mazatlán on Thursday evening, August 19th at 7:00 pm. Cash prizes are also awarded for 10 honorable mentions.

If you’re a person who loves dogs or cats, and you’re thinking about adding one or the other to your menagerie, Cinderella has a couple of very special animals who would be delighted to be part of a large pet/ human family. While a lot of pets would prefer to be the focus of attention of their humans at all times, these two have the temperament for fitting in, as long as there is plenty of love available to go around.
