EDINBURG – Just in time for the holidays, Palm Valley Animal Society (PVAS) is hosting its most fashionable fundraiser yet. Sponsored by Carats Jewels in McAllen, the animal welfare organization is teaming up with the local fine jeweler in hopes of raising some holiday funds in support of their sheltered pets.
ALAMO – Seventeen PSJA Memorial Early College High School students were selected to participate in the Latinas in Progress (LIP) Education & Scholarship Program.
Cinderella has two batches of adorable kittens who are, or soon will be, available for adoption. Each one is a cutie pie, playful as can be, and each would love to come and live with you and help you celebrate the holidays. If your house won’t be filled with as many people as usual this year, these kitties would love nothing better than helping you eat up all those leftovers--especially the turkey! They’d also be happy to be your companions and part of your family for many years to come.
PHARR – Making school history, the PSJA Southwest Early College High School Debate Team competed at the UIL Congress Regional Tournament. Senior Sofia Leal and Junior Sofia Varela earned 1st and 3rd place, respectively, and advanced to the UIL State Congress Debate Tournament to be held in January 2021.
