ECISD celebrates 228 teachers identified as TIA Designees

Edinburg CISD recently announced that 228 newly identified teachers have been honored through the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. These teachers are being recognized for their hard work and great teaching. They will receive stipends each year for the next five years, with amounts ranging from about $5,000 to $28,000, based on their level of recognition. This is an increase from last year, when 161 teachers were recognized.
